General

We at Green Chalk (a SaaS product from Scottsdale Global Innovations Middle East, Scottsdale Global Innovations India Pvt. Ltd) and the Green Chalk affiliates are committed to protecting privacy of all end users. This privacy policy applies to the information and data collected by Green  Chalk as a controller & processor, including the information collected on our websites(www.green-chalk.com, www.greenchalk.in, www.sgime.com, www.scottsdaleglobal.com) or through other channels as described below.

Green Chalk is a comprehensive education management software owned by Scottsdale  Global Innovations. Our prime motto is to empower education. We have a complete school management solution as well as an end to end solution for parents to support their child’s education at school. We are dealing with data from school and data provided by parents. All academic data including mark, timetable, curriculum and administrative data like fees, accounts, transportation data are owned by school but all relevant data will be shared to parents as well. On other side all personal data of the parent and student including TC, report card, fee receipts, contact information, personal documents will be owned by the user and we will follow our data retention policy after the user delete their account with Green Chalk.

In this policy, the words “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to Green Chalk and the privacy echanism outlined identifies personally identifiable or personal information that may be collected, how such information is used, and the choices you have regarding our use of this  information. We value your privacy. In order to keep your trust, Green Chalk adheres to thical standards in collecting, using, storing, processing and safeguarding any information you provide.

We constantly review our systems and data to secure your personal information. We will investigate any complaint or such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible. This privacy policy governs your use of the application Green Chalk parents, students, teachers, principal, management mobile application, www. green-chalk.com (‘Website’) and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by the Company.

Please read this privacy policy (‘Policy’) carefully before using the Application, Website, our services and products, along with the Terms of Use (‘ToU’) provided on the Application and the Website. Your use of the Website, Application, or services in connection with the Application, Website or Products (‘Services’), or registrations with us through any modes shall signify your acceptance of this Policy and your agreement to be legally bound by the same.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, do not use the Website, Application, our Products or avail any of our Services. Should you disagree with this Policy (defined below) and still continue to access the Platform and provide your personal information, Green Chalk disclaim all the liabilities arising there from and it shall be assumed by your continued use of the Platform that you have accepted the Policy and any other online terms and conditions available on the Platform.

Applicability

This privacy policy (“Policy”) applies to all Users who access the Green Chalk Platform, mobile applications and website and are therefore required to read and understand the Policy before feeding any Personal Information (defined hereinafter). If you have submitted by mistake any Personal Information to Green Chalk prior to reading the Policy statements set out herein, and you do not agree with the manner in which the Personal Information is collected, stored or used, then you may access, modify and delete all information stored about You by writing to us at support@localhost. Green Chalk is storing personal data of the User, and every User is also entitled to require Green Chalk to delete and destroy all such information (but not that of other users). This Policy applies to the Platform and any other services that are owned and operated by us.

Personal data / information  

“Personal Information” shall mean the information which identifies the User, Name, Identification number, Email address, Age, Phone numbers, Address, Religion, Nationality, Annual Income, Password, Transaction information, data provided at the time of help or support, any data entered in to application or any financial account information provided to Green Chalk at the time of registration or any time thereafter.

User provided information  

We may use the Information to contact you from time to time, to provide you with the Services, important information, required notices, introduce new features and marketing promotions. We will ask you when we need more information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you.

Even though we put our maximum effort into securing your access, we want to mention that –  We will not differentiate between who is using the device/browser to access the platform, mobile application, Website or Services or products, so long as the log in/access credentials match with yours. In order to make the best use of the Application/Website/Services/products and enable your Information to be captured accurately on the Application/Website/Services/products, it is essential that you have logged in using your own credentials.

We will, at all times, provide the option to you to not provide the Personal Information or  Sensitive Personal Information, which we seek from you. Further, you shall, at any time while  using the Application/Services/products, also have an option to withdraw your consent given earlier to us to use such Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information.  

Access  

Users are not allowed to access the Platform, and avail services available with Green Chalk as a guest and without creating an account. In order to have access to all the features and benefits on our Platform, a User is required to first create an account on our Platform. To create an  account, a User is required to provide Personal Information as may be required during the time of registration. Other information requested on the registration page, including the ability to  receive promotional offers or feature addition information from Green Chalk, is optional. Green Chalk may, in future, include other optional requests for information from the User to help Green Chalk to customize the Platform to deliver personalized information to the User. Without the  User’s agreement, Green Chalk will not share, rent or sell any Personal Information with third parties in any way other than what is disclosed in this Policy. Green Chalk may keep records of telephone calls received and made for making enquiries, Academic information, TC, Fees details, Enrollments, feedback or other purposes for the purpose of rendering services effectively and efficiently.

Automatic information collection  

In addition, the Application/platform/products/Services may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile/computer device you use, your mobile/computer devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile/computer device, your mobile/computer operating system, the type of mobile/computer Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application/Services/products. As is true of most mobile applications, we also collect other relevant information as per the permissions that you  provide.

Credit card processing API is provided to us by client through client’s bank in the State of Qatar which Green Chalk will integrate to ERP system to collect your payments collect school fee and school services. These banks or providers do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purpose. We are not storing/ reading any of your card/bank/third party wallet details with us. Clarifying this further Schools has the option to provide APIs for online payment from their own banks to integrate it with Green Chalk.

Use of personal information 

By registering our services by accepting the terms and conditions you will provide access to Green Chalk with your many of Personal Information. If that information is wrong, you can request us to modify or delete the same. Green Chalk will take all reasonable measures to ensure that the  Personal Information is modified and used for rendering services to you and as otherwise in compliance with laws. When editing or deleting Personal Information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request. We use the collected Information to analyse trends, to conduct research, to administer the Application/Services and products, to learn about each user’s and their enrolled children’s learning patterns, understanding level, effective learning and movements around the Application/Services and Products to gather demographic information and usage behavior about our user base as a whole. Aggregated and individual, anonymized and non-anonymized data may periodically be transmitted to external service providers to help us improve the application, products and our services. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described below in this Policy. We do not assure that we will delete all residual copies and archives made by any third party without our knowledge and consent. Green Chalk shall use your Personal Information to communicate with you. The said communication can either be by calls, text or emails. If at any time you wish to not  receive any communication from our end you can opt-out of the same by writing to us on support@localhost.

We do not share any personal information to any third-party vendors unless we are not legally bound. We may use the individual data and behavior patterns combined with personal information to provide you with personalized content, and better your learning objectives. Third parties provide certain services which we may use to analyze the data and information to  personalize, drive insights and help us better your experience or reach out to you with more value-added applications, products, information and services. However, these third-party companies do not have any independent right to share this information. We do not sell, trade or rent your Information to any third party unless, we have been expressly authorized by you either in writing or electronically to do so. We may at times provide aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties, however this information when disclosed will be in an aggregate form and does not contain any of your Personally Identifiable Information. On behalf of Green Chalk, the school has to inform the parents of every kids enrolled in the system about the product during the enrolment process and avail their consent to use relevant information. This privacy policy sets out all party’s commitment to safely keep the information of minors and protect their privacy rights.

Custom ads  

On unaffiliated sites, Green Chalk may display interest-based advertising using information you make available to us when you interact with our Platform, content, or services. Interest-based ads, also sometimes referred to as personalized or targeted ads, are displayed to you based on information from activities such as subscription on our Platform, visiting sites that contain Green Chalk content or ads. In providing interest-based ads, we follow applicable laws, as well as the Code for Self-Regulation in Advertising by the Communications Regulatory Authority, State of Qatar and the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising developed by the Digital Advertising Alliance (a coalition of marketing, online advertising, and consumer advocacy organizations). Like other online ad networks, we use cookies, web beacons (also known as action tags or single-pixel gifs), and other technologies (collectively, “cookies”). Cookies enable us to learn about what ads you see, what ads you click, and other actions you take on our sites and other sites. This allows us to provide you with more useful and relevant ads. For example, if we know what ads you are shown we can be careful not to show you the same ones repeatedly. We do not associate your interaction with unaffiliated sites with your identity in providing you with interest-based ads.

We do not provide any personal information to advertisers or to third party sites that display our interest-based ads. However, advertisers and other third-parties (including the ad networks, adserving companies, and other service providers they may use) may assume that users who interact with or click on a personalized ad or content are part of the group that the ad or content is directed towards (for example, users in Eastern India who bought or browsed for literature books). Legally bounded  

Your Personal Information may be shared with third parties who have a need or authority to receive such information, if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to comply with

  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Green Chalk, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Information security  

To protect your Personal information during transmission, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)TSL1.2 network transmission, which encrypts information you send and receive. To prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information, it is important for you to monitor those who have access to your password and to your computer, laptop or any other device through which your account can be accessed. Be sure to sign off when finished while using a shared computer.

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your Information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect Information we process and maintain. We have strong cloud architecture to protect the data. For example, we limit access to this Information to authorized employees only who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our  Application/Services/products/Website. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.  

Data retention  

Currently, we plan to retain user personal data while an account is active and for at least three years afterward. We may alter this practice according to legal and business requirements. For example, we may lengthen the retention period for some data if needed to comply with law or voluntary codes of conduct. Unless otherwise prohibited, we may shorten the retention period for some types of data if needed to free up storage space. Certain types of data which are owned by an institution will be there in the system as long as we have a live agreement with that particular institution. Party A will provide data backup upon request by an authorized representative of client in excel format which the Party B have the obligation to keep it private.

As the Company evolves, our privacy policy will need to evolve as well to cover new situations. We will notify you when a revised privacy policy is available.
